Service Technician Customer Service Support - Electrical

Department: CUSTOMER SERVICE
Location: Falmouth, ME

Southworth International Group, Inc., located in Falmouth, ME, has an immediate opening for a Service Technician – Electrical.

The Service Technician provides technical and general support to our vertical material handling equipment customers. This is a full-time professional position that will be engaging with our dealers, distributors, end users and coworkers daily.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides high quality customer service, technical product support and product parts information via telephone and email
  • Resolves customer questions and provide solutions for technical issues related to the equipment
  • Engages in frequent collaboration with Engineering and Sales departments
  • Reviews sales records, engineering documentation and warranty issues and history to ensure that a high level of cost-effective customer satisfaction is maintained
  • Prepares quotations for parts and other services as needed, maintain records for the installed base

Requirements:

  • Associates degree, or military/civilian technical school; or equivalent work experience in lieu education
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product support/product parts and customer service, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience working with machinery blueprints
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems and components, and wiring and hydraulic schematics
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Occasional travel may be required for visits to customer sites
